Most independent businesses I look at are losing customers in the same three ways. Recognise any of these?
Slow, clumsy on a phone, or so out of date people assume you’ve shut. Most people decide in about five seconds.
If you don’t show up when someone nearby searches for what you do, they go to whoever does.
People want to read your menu on their phone, tap to call you and book a table. Your site should let them do all three.

These are demonstrations, not client work. Every business shown here is invented. I built each page to work out one specific technique properly. It is the same kind of concept I’d build for you, for free, before you owe me anything.
Scroll, and the glass moves the way molten glass really does. The pieces stretch, thin and part as they leave the furnace. The whole sequence follows your scroll, and none of it is pre-recorded.

Scrolling drives a camera down through the workings, along the gallery, past the cut face, through the arch and up the shaft into daylight. It is drawn on a single canvas rather than stacked layers, which is what keeps it smooth on a phone.

A very proper accountants’ page that plays three jokes on your scroll and then behaves itself. Your first scroll drops the partner’s suit instead of moving the page on, and scrolling back puts it on again. The page never stops moving under your finger.

Throw the lighthouse lens round with your thumb and it turns with real weight: it keeps going, slows down and settles on one of its six faces. The lens is built in the browser with no pictures in it, and you can tap or use the keyboard instead of dragging.

That’s the whole thing, built and live. If you want me to keep hosting it, updating it and making small changes, that’s £35 a month.
Cancel the £35 any time on 30 days’ notice, and its price is fixed for the first year. Once the build is paid for, the site is yours to take with you, and the domain is always in your name.

You tell me what you need and what isn’t working with what you’ve got. It’s free, and if you don’t need me, I’ll say so.
I’ll build a working version of your site from your own sign and posts before you’ve paid a penny, so you can decide on the real thing.
You give me your words, your corrections and the details only you know. I work them in until the site sounds like your business.
Once it’s live, I can host it and make small changes for £35 a month. If you’d rather host it somewhere else, I’ll help you move it.
The concept is free. I build it before you owe me anything, so you can see exactly what you’d get and decide in your own time. I’ll quote only for what you need, and if a smaller job would do it, I’ll tell you.
